Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese is one the most popular dinner dishes worldwide – An Italian classic dish and pretty easy to make. Thinking about dinner? Have a go at our simple to follow Spaghetti Bolognese recipe below. A perfect, romantic meal for two.

150 grams of Spaghetti
1 large Onion
1 large Carrot
50 grams of Celery
150 ml of Red Wine
500 grams of Ground beef
50 grams of Parmesan
2 teaspoons of Italian herbs
300 grams of Grated tomatoes
Salt and pepper – to taste

Onions clean and cut into small cubes, carrots just wash and clean and grate. Wash the celery and cut into small pieces.

Fry the vegetables in a little oil.

Add the ground beef to the roasted vegetables and fry together until the ground beef is half cooked.

Add red wine to the meat and simmer for 10 minutes until the alcohol evaporates.

When the alcohol has evaporated add the ground tomatoes and Italian herbs to the meat and simmer until ready for another 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to you taste.

While the meat is stewing you need to cook spaghetti – Boil water in a saucepan and salt it. When the water boils add spaghetti and cook 7-9 minutes.( I used buckwheat spaghetti.)

When the meat and spaghetti are ready put the spaghetti on a plate and top with the sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan on top.
